Stunning Cherub Plate !! Perfect Mother's Day Present !! May 13th !! Gorgeous large Noritake cake plate handpainted in a rich bright blue border, highlighted with pink roses, anchored with a bold black pattern outlined in gold. T is another pattern with fancy scrollwork done in gold. T is gold wear to the edge of the cake plate, due to its age, but it still looks fantastic for its age. The center has a stunning cherub transferware scene with three cherubs sitting around a large mist of clouds. The cherubs have rich detail. Lovely flesh tones that look like Dresden china. Sweet adoring Italian style faces, very romantic. One cherub is holding a rose branch over his head. The cherub to the left is draped in a beautiful medium blue wrap. The other in a pink wrap. Other than the gold wear to the edge of the cake plate, this gorgeous Noritake plate is free of chips, cracks, crazing, repairs, hairlines, or dark spots. The center of the plate also has hardly any utensil marks at all. If they are t they are very tiny and you have to look for them. The center is rich and bright in colors. Back of plate is super clean. It has a green mark with Noritake over a wreath and an "M" in the middle. Under that, is Handpainted, Made in Japan. Plate measures 10 7/8" across from hanlde to handle.
