CM72004 - North American AJ-2 Savage - 1:72 - Mach 2 This item is a new, unassembled, 1/72 scale model of the North American AJ-2 "Savage" USN carrier-borne attack bomber. The AJ-2 was powered by two P&W R-2800 piston engines and one Allison J33 turbojet in the rear fuselage. It first flew in May 1949; production totaled 140 aircraft of all models and it remained operational until 1959. The AJ-2 was a large composite-powered carrier-borne attack bomber capable of carrying atomic bombs. The AJ-2, powered by two piston engines and one jet engine mounted in the aft fuselage, had a max level speed of 471 mph. The kit is by Mach 2 (kit #M0006), is in the original box which is slightly wrinkled at one corner -- the parts are factory-sealed in a plastic bag (includes extra nose-piece for the AJ-2R) -- decals are as shown on the box. ITEM CONDITION: Unless otherwise noted in the item description above, ALL of our items are NEW, direct from the manufacturer or distributor. These items are in NEW condition, as you would expect to find them on the shelf of your local hobbyshop or bookstore. This means that model kits will be in their original packaging, including all original parts and decals just as they were received from the manufacturer. Books may show minor shelf wear, although probably less than you would see in a bookstore. Items that read more
