This is a nice clean, spiral push drill marked "YANKEE NO. 41 NORTH BROS. MFG. CO. DIV. OF STANLEY TOOLS PHILA. PA. U.S.A.". It features 10 compartments inside the handle that have a total of 8 different sized drills (a full set), in them (from 1/16"-11/64"). All the drill bits are in very good to new condition. In this style push drill there there is a knurled ring that is threaded (at one end of the handle), this ring releases the handle from the end cap, exposes the various drill bits inside the handle. This push drill is clean with about 99% of the nickel plating intact, the "YANKEE" sticker type label is about 95% intact, in fine working condition also. It measures 9.8" long overall. This push drill uses the Stanley or North Brothers "YANKEE" type drill bits with the notch and flat on the shank. Works great, with a good main spring and good working spring chuck. The original box is in good solid condition with both the top and end labels about 95% intact, and the green paper is about 95% intact with a small torn off section on one side. The box is from the same era as the drill, and believe to be original to this drill. Stanley bought out North Brothers Co. in 1946, and the boxes in that era still had the North Brothers label on them. We assume this was done because of the well known "YANKEE" trademark name North Brothers had established in about 50 years of manufacturing push drills and screwdrivers. This tool is one of the nicest we have seen from this era! Note: We have new straight shank adapters for sale for this drill at this website, you can find them under "Yankee adapter" using the search feature at the home page.
