NORTH CAROLINA & SOUTH CAROLINA MAP An Accurate Map of North and South Carolina with Their Indian Frontiers" by Henry Mouzon (REPRINT). This hand colored map extends from the coastal area of the two Carolinas westward to the Appalachian mountains in the Cherokee country, was the chief type-map for the region during the forty or fifty years following its publication. It was used by both British and American forces during the Revolutionary War.. At bottom left are two insets; The Harbor of Port Royal featuring Hilton Head, Helena, Beaufort and Huntington Islands. The Bar & Harbor of Charlestown featuring the City of Charleston, James Island and Sullivan Island. Map also details parishes, cities, towns, forts, rivers, roads, Indian paths, water depths along the wharf. Overall size 25 " X 18".
