NORTH POLE "NORTH POLE CHAPEL" - #56260 - NEW You are bidding on Department 56 "North Pole Chapel," from the Heritage Village Collection, North Pole Series. The original price on this item was $45. The Village D-Tails Secondary Value is $48-$55. The Item Number is 56260. It was issued in 1993 and retired in 2000. It is a hand painted porcelain building and as such may contain imperfections such as small indentations, rough spots, crazing, or other slight flaws that occur during manufacturing. Unique variations should be expected seeing as this is a hand painted item. It includes a light cord with on/off switch. THIS ITEM IS BRAND NEW, NEVER DISPLAYED, STORED IN BOX SINCE PURCHASE. It has only been removed for inspection when purchased and again for picture-taking. This building is in "MINT" condition, including the original fitted Styrofoam box with cellophane wrappings which may have been removed for photography (see Photographs #5 & #6 below). The sleeve/outer box shows signs of storage and/or age (see Photographs #7 & #8 below). There are no chips, cracks or repairs to this item. The Department 56 logo and/or sticker is on the mold which guarantees authenticity (see Photograph #4 below). Please review the photographs to make your own assessment of the condition of this item seeing as this is a NO RETURN item. This piece comes from a smoke-free environment. HISTORY OF THE NORTH POLE SERIES™ As written in Village D-Tails, 2010 Edition: " Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. "And, so it was with this tiny village introduced in 1990. It consisted of 'Santa's Workshop,' the 'Reindeer Barn,' and the 'Elf Bunkhouse.' Period. These buildings most assuredly would make a wonderful vignette devoted to the jolly ol' man himself. After all, Santa Claus is such an important part of the holiday season for children of all ages."
