My father was a mechanic for Northeast Airlines in Boston from 1957 through the Delta merger in the 70's. This auction is for a ceramic 'Yellowbird" ashtray with the advertisement " Catch a Yellowbird and Let Luxury Happen to You". I would label this as 'good' condition. The dark blue circle has some fading/smudging and spotting from wear. The gold trim has a few scratches and is partially missing in a few spots. I have tried to capture some of these imperfections in the photos. I also see a 1/2" scratch (approx) that runs diagonally to the right & down from the 'R' in the word Yellowbird, but this is very faint and can only be seen when you tilt the ashtray a certain way. Label on the back is 'Alice Ames' with slogan, "Gifts for the discriminating". It is marked Boston, 36, Massachusetts. I believe the '36 may be a zip code? No returns so if you have questions, please ask before you bid or let me know if you need more photos. Size is approx 6 3/4" across. Paypal only, confirmed addresses only. I do not end auctions early. Payment expected within 3 days of auction end. I ship to lower 48 states, US only. Thanks for looking!
