Frances Hook's American Beauties begin to appear in Northern Tissue advertisements. On March 23, 1959, the first rolls of tissue featuring the girls are shipped from the mill. The American Beauties, the brand's first "Northern Girls," send tissue sales skyrocketing. Offers for prints of the girls and Northern Towel's All American Boys break records with 30 million sets of prints being sold by 1966.
THIS IS WHAT I FOUND WHEN I RESEARCHED THESE PICTURES THEY COME WITH THE ORIGINAL ORDER RECEIPT AND THE PAMPLET.tHEY ARE JUST ADORABLE AND WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL FRAMED AND HUNG IN A LITTLE GIRLS ROOM.I aquired these from my mother in law who died this last year.She was a collector of everything but had the cleanest house i've ever seen. She had no pets or she didn't smoke so these pictures probably look just the same as they did when she got them.If you collect fine prints or would happen to be decorating a little girls room these are a must have.You can research these pictures yourself if you would like i'll start the bidding low for the entire set with letter from the company about the artist.The shipping is high because i will pack these with museum like care. |
