I don't know much about Northwest Coast Native American carvings and totems, but this one is so fantastic from an artistic point of view, that I marvel at the artists ability. This came from an auction in Canada, along the border of British Columbia and Washington state. This is an old Moose bone, that has been carved into many different totems all connected together by the carver. They are, starting at the top of the carving, two bear heads, one wolf head, under those is a salmon in the bear's paw, an eagle head, another bear head and a wolf head, under that is a whole head of an indian warrior, including many feathers, and a necklace. Just below him is another bear head, a howling wolf, and at the base is a bear paw grabbing a salmon. This is all carved from one piece of Moose bone. It's 6 inches tall x 2 5/8 inches wide x 5/8 inch thick. This totem is mounted on a very nice wood base 5 x 2 1/2 inches. It weighs 6.5 ounces. Age is unknown but t is a patina of polished areas on the front, as though it has been used in some kind of ceremony or ritual. This carving has a lot of strength around it, one wants to look at it and hold it. Very unusual and commanding. I am happy to combine shipping on items, up to 5 days from the end of the first auction. I am happy to accept: PAYPAL(preferred), money orders, personal check (held until it clears my bank), and cashier's checks. Unless contacted via email, payment is expected within 8 days. I will return money only if the item is grossly misrepresented. Item must be returned within 5 days of receipt by buyer, and in the same condition as shipped from seller. I can not refund for buyers remorse, please read descriptions carefully and look at all pictures. This is an auction format. Please email me, if you have any concerns, before bidding, I will work with you. Thank you. I have had a couple of inquirys asking if this carving is resin. No, this is not resin, or any plastic material. It is hand carved out of Moose antler, from native americans in and around the northwest coast.
