WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Northwood DANDELION MUG in SCARCE, gorgeous COBALT BLUE base glass with beautiful iridescence...especially on the interior of this mug as seen in the pictures. The mold strike on this one is crisp and really stands out making this mug very pleasing to look at on display. It is an old vintage piece, does not carry the Northwood Mark...but that isn't uncommon for vintage Northwood pieces in this pattern. I ha ve included several photos of the mug so you can see how nice it is for yourself. It is a solid investment quality piece of glass...a great example of this bold pattern, shape and SCARCE color. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a piece like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this piece in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This mug is in fantastic condition ! No fleabites, chips, cracks or repairs. No major distractions whatsoever. T are a few scattered manufacturing stretch marks, n othing u ncommon. You must be looking close to find them. T are a few very small enclosed manufacturing bubbles. Nothing uncommon at all. The base is very clean...only the slightest bit of shelf wear can be seen upon very close inspection. The rim of the mug is in excellent condition. The handle evenly applied. The interior of the mug is very nice...displays BEAUTIFUL iridescence...super. The very bottom of the mug the iridescence is not even....it isn't wear...t are no scratches or anything anyw to hint at any damage...so it was just made that way. This has nothing to do with the display quality of the piece and is extremely minor besides...but I'm mentioning it. I've showed you a good picture of the interior of the mug and you can see it is no big deal. That is all I can find on this very handsome mug. I've looked it all over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. Simply...it is a nice, investment quality piece of glass. I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. This mug is super on display...very nice to look at. It is a clean example too. These are hard to find in Cobalt Blue...so don't miss a chance to get a nice one The pictures show you the piece well, please have a look. You can't go wrong with this mug.
