WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Northwood EA HUDSON AND CO. FURNITURE Ruffled Bowl. A fantastic advertising piece. It has an amethyst base with FANTASTIC ELECTRIC MULTI-COLOR IRIDESENCE! Basket weave back. This is one of the best piece of Northwood I have ever come across. It is an eye feast...the pictures tell the tale, please have a look. This bowl gleams and dances in natural light. Literally changing color on a dime. One of the best examples you will ever see. It is an old vintage piece. It does carry the authentic Northwood mark. A super investment quality piece. Breath taking on display. One of those you pick up and say WOW! It is 6 inches wide and 2 inch tall. I have included several photos of the piece so you can see for yourself. It looks even better in your hands! You can reference this piece in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: This bowl is in FANTASTIC conditon! No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs! I don't see any manufacturing bubbles only a couple of small, very faint stretch marks you really have to look closely to see. Very minor. The base is clean and shows very minimal shelf wear if any at all. You must really, really stretch to make out anything. The face of the bowl shows no damage at all and no wear to the raised surfaces. The ruffles are even. It is in really super condition. That is all I can say about this gorgeous bowl. I've looked it over hard. I'm being very picky. I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. The bowl is breath taking on display, really reaches out and grabs your attention! It is a splendid example of vintage Northwood at its best! I t has been well taken care of and is very clean.
