WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Northwood GRAPE AND CABLE Three Piece Table Set in gorgeous Marigold base glass - consisting of a spooner, a covered sugar and a creamer. All pieces in the set display nice MULTI-COLOR IRIDESCENCE! Really pretty for Marigold pieces since marigold isn't known for its iridescent qualities, but rather shades of its base glass color. It is an old vintage set, each piece carries the authentic Northwood Mark. The set displays beautifully, please see the photos and judge for yourself . I have included several photos of the set. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a set like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this set in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This set is in overall good condition. I will break it down buy piece. The COVERED SUGUR - The lid is very nice all the way around. No issues...very pretty. The rim of the Sugar Jar is very nice...points are even and nice...the rim has NO issues. Very unusual for these. T are a few fleabites, very tiny, on the edges of the thumbprint ovals that protrude from the bottom of the jar. They are pin-head sized and you will feel them before you see them. The base shows little to no wear...t is three minor base bruises...one at each seam and one counter clockwise an inch. These are very small and can barely be seen or felt. I honestly believe them to be a manufacturing roughness issue rather than damage since they are right on both seam marks and very, very minor. The SPOONER - T is very little to say about this piece. The rim is very nice, the base is very nice showing little to no wear at all. T are a few scattered flecks of loss of iridescence around the top and around the thumbprint pattern at the bottom. Simply...very slight wear is all it is...very common. The CREAMER - The rim and handle are very nice. The pattern is very nice. The base has a bruise on it about 3/8ths of an inch wide which has created some surface roughness right at the base edge extending about 1/3 of the way around the base. You can feel it. IN SUMMERY...all three pieces display some manufacturing stretch marks and enclosed manufacturing bubbles. They are scattered. Nothing uncommon or unusual. T are no repairs to any of these pieces..no major distractions. That is all I can find on this very pretty set. I've looked it all over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. And as all of us in Carnival know color is key and this set displays wonderful, soft multi-color iridescence...especially for Marigold! The set is very clean .
