If you have been wanting to upgrade or have been wanting to add one of these to your high quality collection, don't miss this one! It is SPECTACULAR! It is a superior investment quality piece of glass, hands down the best of the best out t A rainbow of color in natural light...just turn the bowl slightly and it comes alive. The very best example of this pattern, shape and color...a great deal of eye appeal. I have included several photos of the bowl so you can see for yourself. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a piece like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this piece in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This bowl is in excellent condition ! No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs. No major distractions whatsoever. T are a few scattered manufacturing stretch marks, n othing u ncommon. T is one straw mark around the center of the pattern about 3/4 of an inch long. Nothing uncommon and it is easily lost in the pattern. You must be looking close to find any of this. T are a few very tiny enclosed manufacturing bubbles. Nothing uncommon at all. The base is very, very clean...exhibits little to no shelf wear. You have to really stretch your imagination to see anything. The interior of the bowl is extremely nice. T are some flecks of loss of iridescence scattered around the exterior of the bowl...pin-head sized. You must examine the bowl very closely to see them and most will need a good magnifying glass. Simply it is slight wear. It appears the bowl has only been a display piece throughout its long life. The edge treatment is even and very nice. That is all I can find on this splendid, elegant bowl. I've looked it all over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. Simply...it is a fantastic investment quality piece of glass, THE BEST. I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. And as all of us in Carnival know color is key and this bowl displays vibrant, wonderful multi-color! Superb in natural light. It is an excellent example of what Carnival Glass is all about. It is a clean example too. You will drive the tires off of your car before or if you could find a better one. IT IS A GORGEOUS PIECE...the new owner is going to love it!
