Northwood or Dugan Carnival Glass MAPLE LEAF Pitcher and 4 Tumblers This lovely set is in excellent vintage condition. I'm not sure if it was manufactured by Northwood or by Dugan. I'm sure it's not from Mosser, which has recently reproduced it. This comes from a known estate and was in the family for many, many years. In fact, when I got it it was wrapped for storage in newspapers that were dated 1993, and the set had already made its way from Auntie's house to Niece's house many years before that. The base color for this is a deep Amber color. The carnival luster is in very nice shape and is heavy- this set really glows. Pitcher dimensions are 8 7/8" H to lip, 5" diameter, and 8 1/8" from lip to handle. T is one miniscule open bubble on a high spot- not a fleabite or chip- and several straw marks on handle and under the lip. It is a heavy piece. If you look very carefully, t are two each of very, very slightly different tumbler shapes. Two flare out just a tiny bit more at the top- this could be from manufacture, the glory hole, or some other reason. I have no reason to believe that this set was added to at any time, and it could just be my eyes that took notice. One tumble has a little manufacturer's defect- a bit of a ripple- on the top lip and one has a small chip at the base, shown in picture. Tumbler dimensions are 3 7/8 read more
