This is an unusual Custard Glass Custard Bowl Set in the " NAUTILUS PATTERN (SHELL), produced for the L.G. Wright Glass Company from an old Northwood Glass Company Mould, c. 1969. L.G. Wright built his glass business from items produced by other glass companies using old moulds which had been purchased from companies who were out of business. In 1939 he was able to buy moulds that had been used by the Northwood Glass Company. In 1969, Frank Fenton noticed that the old Northwood Logo, an impressed "N with a Line Under" was still on the custard pieces ordered by Wright. Frank Fenton, always the protector of old pattern glass and the importance of identifying reissues or reproductions, insisted that the logo be changed by adding a line to the "N" to make it look like a "W." TWO of these compote bowls have that mark. I honestly don't know a lot about old glassware but I found the above information about these pieces on line. I am sure they are vintage and they are in perfect condition. Color is a creamy pale yellow. The tall and small compotes are marked but the medium tall compote is not. Tall, large compote is aprox. 10 3/4" x 6 1/4" across x 4 1/2" tall. Small one is 5 1/2" long x 3" wide x 3" tall. The tall skinny one is aprox. 5" tall x 5 3/4" long x 3" wide. I also have 4 matching tumblers on ebay at this time. Please let me read more
