SO PLEASE ENJOY AND HAVE FUN WITH THEM! ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is an Antique Northwood GRAPE AND CABLE Powder Jar made in the early 1900's. The Base Glass color is MARIGOLD. The iridescence throughout this beauty features Shimmering Pastel Multi-Color highlights all the way around the piece. Glistening, gorgeous Pink and Yellow iridescent highlights dominate the display surface. The lids on these are often Silver, but this one displays beautiful iridescent colors enhancing the overall visual quality of this Gem. The attractive iridescence qualities make the piece really stand out. The photographs show the piece well...please look them over and enjoy. Dark areas in the photographs are shadows only. The visual presentation is impressive and the condition is well above avearge. If you enjoy shimmering Pastels over Marigold base glass with engaging visual qualities...you'll enjoy this fabulous specimen and others will too. This one is marked TOP and BOTTOM . Not all Northwood was marked, but this one was. Antique Northwood its Finest! It is every bit as beautiful as the photos show. My photos are taken outside in natural indirect sunlight. I never use a flash or props. I never enhance photos, never have, never will. I aim to show you the best iridescent color the piece offers. If the piece looks awesome in the photos...that is because...it is! What you see is what you will get! ITEM MEASUREMENTS: The piece is 3 3/4 inches wide at the widest point. 3 1/2 inches tall at the tallest point. BASE GLASS COLOR : MARIGOLD ITEM CONDITION: There are NO CRACKS or REPAIRS on this Beautiful Northwood Powder Jar. An elegant piece of antique glass! THE BASE: The mold seams are barely there to the touch...nice and smooth. I can't make out any shelf wear on the bottom of the base...absolutely extraordinary for this antique glass. The piece sits flat and level on a flat surface. THE INTERIOR: I can't make out any wear on the interior surface of this beauty. Absolutely NOTHING around the opening of the jar at all. It is stellar. On the interior edge of the lid there is a patch of roughness as photographed in photo 9 next to the end of a ball point pen for easy reference to any ball point pen in your home. If you know this glass, you know where glass meets glass over 100 years, there is going to be some sort of roughness 99% of the time. The lid on this one is FAR above average with just one area of very minor roughness and completely confined to the very inside edge...very common for this antique glass. Look at the close up photographs and you'll see the interiors are both in superb condition. THE EXTERIOR: I can't make out any wear around the exterior of this beauty at all. Top or bottom. The piece displays shimmering, colorful iridescent highlights all the way around...absolutely beautiful! THE EDGE: The Edge Treatment on the piece is quite well done. The piece was formed in every regard. The condition of the lid and jar are outstanding overall...FAR above average for these. Try finding another in this condition. Obviously the piece has been very well maintained through last 100 years. A lovely piece of antique Northwood and an classic and ultimately classy piece of this century old glass. That is all I can find on this Beautiful Northwood Powder Jar. An outstanding example of this highly desirable pattern, shape and base glass color.
