NORTHWOOD Green Carnival Glass SINGING BIRDS Pitcher From an estate comes this beautiful emerald green carnival glass pitcher that measures 9" high, is 5" in diameter and 7 1/5" from handle to spout. From NORTHWOOD, the pattern is SINGIING BIRDS. The pitcher top has an orange/gold iridescence overlay that dissipates at mid level to reveal its jewel-like green body. Its 9- paneled body features a thorny vine of blossoms and berries on which are perched 4 singing birds. The interior bottom bears the Northwood mark--"N" underlined within a circle. The pitcher has some flaws and is being sold AS IS. Very difficult to see is a crack in the glass along 1/3 of the bottom rim; the piece is intact and even with this crack, makes a fine presentation. Additionally, t's a tiny nick/flake on the rim top near the spout and bubbles captured in the vessel in the manufacturing process. Also noted is a small bare spot in the iridescence at the top inner rim. Otherwise this lovely vintage vessel is in great shape. Wonderful to look at--and fabulous to add to a collection--this is truly a showcase item as is!! Note, I tried to show the flaws in the pictures. E mail with questions. Thanks for viewing.
