For your consideration: Northwood's Hearts and Flowers Plate in Amethyst; production of this pattern commenced in January 1912. Fantastically detailed pattern is crisp and pronounced. The nature of the pattern, the imitation of embroidery stitches, is truly amazing! The skill of the mold-maker in emulating detailed stitches through the medium of an iron mold is humbling. This rare beauty is 9" across, and stands a nice flat 1 ½" tall. He's definitely not showing his age! Please note: as always, all our glass photos are taken in sunlight. T is no coloring re-touch of photos, or trick or colorized lighting involved in the photography. "Whatyouseeiswhatyouget". Sawtooth rim is unchipped and unnicked! Collar base is in pristine condition! The usual strawmarks and toolmarks are present, with little to no wear to the finish, if any. No chips, no cracks, no damage - no kidding. The 3-part mold meets smoothly. Piece is unmarked. Great investment: Offered without Reserve!! Best Luck!! This is old glass - one would expect to find bubbles, impurities in the glass and mold lines, etc - none of these reasons are grounds for returns-for-refund. We thank you for your bid.
