ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is an Antique Northwood RASPBERRY Water Pitcher made to go with a 7 Piece Water Set consisting of a Water Pitcher and 6 Tumblers from the early 1900's. The Base Glass Color is PURPLE. The iridescence on this fine example is absolutely Fantastic throughout the display surface...all the way around the piece and including the interior even clear down in the very bottom...featuring Vibrant, Ultra Rich Rainbow Multi-Color iridescence with striking ELECTRIC Blue and Purple highlights! The visual presentation is extremely sharp in color, pattern and form...all complimenting each other in grand fashion. The photographs show it well...please look them over and enjoy. The condition matches the iridescent splendor...it is in excellent overall condition. If you have been hunting for an exceptionally colorful example of these Water Pitchers in excellent overall condition to put together an outstanding Water Set...or perhaps you have one, but not this nice or colorful and have been considering an upgrade...look this one over and give it serious consideration. It is an excellent Antique Northwood piece to admire and enjoy on display. This one carries the authentic Northwood mark on colorful the interior bottom. Northwood at its VERY finest. It is every bit as gorgeous as the photos show. My photos are taken outside in natural indirect sunlight. I never use a flash or props. I never enhance photos, never have, never will. I aim to show you the best iridescent color the piece offers. If the piece looks awesome in the photos...that is because...it is! What you see is what you will get! ITEM MEASUREMENTS: The piece is 8 inches wide at the widest point. 8 7/8 inches tall at the tallest point. BASE GLASS COLOR: PURPLE ITEM CONDITION: There are NO cracks or repairs on this Beautiful, Luscious Northwood Water Pitcher. THE BASE: There is some very light manufacturing mold roughness on the mold edge of the base...common to these antique pieces and nothing uncommon here whatsoever. There is normal light shelf wear on the bottom of the base...common to this antique glass and nothing uncommon here whatsoever I assure you. The base it in excellent condition. The piece sits flat and level on a flat surface. THE INTERIOR: The interior surface of this piece is in superb condition. I can't make out any wear at all which is definitely extraordinary. The iridescent properties are exquisite...even clear down in the very bottom and oh so nice! Exceptional for the interior of any of these Water Pitchers. THE EXTERIOR: There are some tiny pen-head sized flecks of loss of iridescence (is what I call it) scattered around the exterior surface...common this antique glass and nothing uncommon here whatsoever. The close up photos show how nicely it shimmers in natural light. The pattern details are sharp. The iridescent qualities are exceptionally colorful with Electric Highlights all over... from the top all the way down to the basketweave pattern around the base. It is hard to find these Water Pitchers with iridescence this colorful throughout. They certainly don't come up for sale every day! It is very apparent it has been well cared for over the last century. THE EDGE: The Edge Treatment on the piece is very well done. The Pitcher shape is well formed. The spout and handle applications are both well done and perfectly formed. There is some manufacturing mold roughness right on the outside mold edge of the handle.
