WELCOME TO MY AUCTION! A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL MY REPEAT BUYERS. I APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS AND HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR PURCHASES FOR YEARS TO COME! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Northwood SINGING BIRDS PITCHER in awesome GREEN Base Glass with the highly desirable predominantly BLUE AND GOLD or EMERALD GREEN Iridescence! BLAZING TOP QUALITY IRIDESCENCE ..WOW! The piece is 9 inches tall and 8 inches wide with iridescence that is second to none I've ever seen. DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! A visually wonderful, pleasing piece on display...SUPER NICE in color and condition. Please look over the photos and see for yourself. No need for upgrades folks. This one is as good as it gets. The exterior pattern is crisp and richly iridized. The piece carries the authentic Northwood Mark on the bottom. The pitcher is a a top example of this very desirable old pattern and good green pieces are difficult to come by! Especially one with Emerald Green iridescence. This one is flat gorgeous on display...tremendous eye catching appeal even from across a room. If you have been looking to add on of these fine pieces to your collection or are looking to trade up...you'll want to give serious consideration to this one. Its a top quality investment piece of glass. I have included several photos of the piece so you can see for yourself. They look even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a piece like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this piece in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All my pictures are taken outside, always, in natural, indirect sunlight against a dark or light cloth...no artificial light is EVER used! I never enhance photos, if you like the colors you see...that is what you will get! I do not use reserves, never have, I believe auctions should be...well...auctions! So bid with confindence and have fun...LOW starting bid...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This pitcher is in SUPER nice condition ! No cracks, chips, fleabites or repairs. No major issues whatsoever. T are a few scattered manufacturing stretch marks visible on the piece...n othing u ncommon. T are very tiny enclosed manufacturing bubbles as well. A few the size of the end of a pen...but most are pin-head sized or smaller. Very tiny and again...nothing uncommon at all. T are a few small manufacturing dye runs in the glass itself too...very minor and can't be seen unless you are looking through the glass at a strong light source. Very minor. The Base is in fantastic shape...shows very, very little shelf wear at all on the bottom. You must really stretch your imagination to see anything. You can feel the mold seams...nothing more. Sits flat. OUTSTANDING! The Rim and Edge, Handle and Spout Treatment on the piece is nicely made, even and well formed all the way around. The handle is applied straight and true. Overall Excellent. The Interior ...it is super nice. I can't even make out any wear! Excellent! It appears to have been used for nothing but display throughout its long life. The Exterior exhibits a crisp mold strike and that spectacular color all the way around! I can find no damage at all. It is exceptional as well. If t is anything to mention at all t is a few very tiny pen-head sized flecks of loss of iridescence is what I call them. Simply put it is very minimal wear. On the very lip of the pitcher around the top t is a few very minor rub marks that can only be seen if the light hits them right under very close inspection. Most would need some sort of visual aid to see them they are so minor. Honestly folks...that is it. The pitcher is in Overall FANTASTIC CONDITION! That is all I can find on this awesome piece. The pictures are true...it is STUNNING to say the very least! The piece looks as tho...
