A Great Carnival Collectible!
This Fabulous Northwood, White "MEMPHIS" Punch Bowl!! * ** ** *** Early 1900's Northwood (MARKED) Click For Rarity - Current Value.A Spectacular Punch Bowl - Treasure Trove Quality Optimal Outdoor Photo Lighting Conditions exists shortly after Sunrise. These Photos are " NEVER " Color Enhanced. 's a "VERY RARE" 2-part Punch Bowl in the Iridescent White. The pattern is "Memphis." This piece has superb, but very subtle iridescent colors ranging from various shades of pink to violet, depending upon the light source it's being displayed in. Standing back to view this unusually RARE punch bowl, it appears absolutely flawless. But in reality it does have some discreet anomalies regarding it's condition. If you can tolerate those anomalies then you could be the lucky new owner. And these would be long heat check lines around the bowls inside surface (inconspicuous, hard to see and not felt) and it has a missing rim tip. Also, a couple of tiny nicks were found on the exterior pattern, which are non-photographable, and that's it. The dark lines outlining certain portions of the exterior pattern is likely dirt. Possibly an accumulation of old dirt, deeply imbedded down in the pattern crevice's and its not easy to remove. Perhaps a long stiff bristled brush and hot soapy water could remove them, I didn't try. All that to say, this is kind of normal for most vintage carnival glass, many will have flaws to some degree. The Bowl Measures 11" Wide - 10" Tall w/Pedestal "SOUND BIDDING ADVICE" PLEASE READ!! Words really do mean things so please; don't skim lightly over the description of this item. A lack of understanding by some buyers usually results in a negative feedback, especially for the high-ticket investment items. Avoiding negative feedbacks is a constant goal, but it's hard to deflect a negative when reading subjectively has not been done. Only 2 negatives have been received to this point (nearly a 10-year period) and that's because two individuals simply failed to read and then didn't ask questions. With that said, it becomes the seller's responsibility to describe each item's condition in the most specific, the most understandable terms possible. Anomalies or faults, if any exist regarding the piece will be addressed in detail. Hopefully careful reading and previewing this series of large, in focus photos will help eliminate any doubt you may have. And please don't be timid to ask the seller questions. It's a seller's responsibility to answer each question to your satisfaction. Please understand; it is not feasible for me to send this item out for approval. That's too much wear and tear; its too time consuming, not to mention the hassle and the added expense. So let's cover all the bases and now before shipment. If you become the winner of this auction, the item legally becomes your property, never to be returned. I sell mostly semi-RARE carnival items that's been in my collection for years and many of them have the usual carnival anomalies (faults.) Because of their age and scarcity not all are in absolute mint condition. Invariably, those that did survive the junk heap will often have a chip; a crack, a fleabite or two and possibly some may have been professionally repaired. However, with out hesitation each of these anomalies will definitely be revealed to you. I will never overstate or misrepresent a carnival piece just to sucker some naive person into a quick sale. Hopefully, a good set of photos will prevent that from happening. Thanks for reading this bidding advise and if you are in agreement with these terms, then I encourage you to bid victoriously!
