Ready to enhance your collection is this wonderful Tiny 1 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped E. & L. P. Norton, Bennington, VT . This is the mark of Edward and Luman Norton who ran the Norton Pottery in Bennington from 1861-1881. This beauty features a clear maker's mark and a Large Cobalt Leaf in Strong and Bright "Benny Blue." This is the quality of cobalt that you come to expect of the Norton Pottery. On the exceptionally clean glaze, the leaf really pops out. Measures 7" tall and 8" wide. Excellent Condition . Some very small, pinhead-size nibbles (1/16") around the outside of the rim. A 1/4" rub on the left handle and a 1/4" and 1/8" flakes on the right handle. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or repairs. Very clean glaze and great small size.
