Norwegian Cruise Line "NORWEGIAN SUN" CRUISE SHIP MODEL You are bidding on a single "Norwegian Sun" resin model of the "NCL Sun" herself, which came directly from Norwegian Cruise Line , and the gift shop on board the "Norwegian Sun" , while we were onboard her in 2004 cruising the Caribbean. The ship is new and in the original Norwegian Cruise Line box. As with most other ship models that you see, this is also made of a resin. The ship is approximately 10 inches long, 3 inches high and 3 inches wide. We obtained it directly from the cruise line in 2004 and has been in storage since. As it was obtained in 2004, the hull does not have the newer "hull art" that is predominant on all of NCL's ships today. I believe that the "hull art" was added to the "NCL Sun" in April 2006. The Norwegian Sun's artwork, a sunburst of red, orange and yellow with colorful streamers, was completed in April 2006 following her dry dock. The "Norwegian Sun" is a "Sky Class" ship and entered service in 2001 with a dual naming ceremony at the Port of Miami with her sister ship, the "Norwegian Star". She is currently sailing to the Caribbean out of Port Canaveral and will relocate to Europe for the summer of 2011. The ship logs in at 78,309 tons, is 853 feet long and read more
