An original dated November 1856 issue of "The Photographic and Fine Art Journal". H.H. Snelling , Editor, New York, H.H. Snelling Publisher; London, Trubner & Co. The journal deals with numerous aspects of the art of photography. It measures approximately 10 1/4" by 13 1/2" and is 32 pages in length. Included are three pages of advertising including a full page E. Anthony ad on the back cover. Eleven pages of the journal are devoted to the stereoscope ("Its history, theory, and construction" and "Method of taking picture for the stereoscope"). T are articles concerning the technical aspects of photography and a few interesting pages of letters to the editor. The covers are chipped at the corners, lightly soiled, and lightly toned. The complete interior pages have bent corners, but otherwise are in very good condition.
