A very fine set of 6 sterling teaspoons by the well known Maritime Canadian silversmith--Michael Septimus Brown. M.S. Brown was born in Halifax in 1818, worked his entire career t as jeweller and silversmith and died in 1886. The spoons measure 5 1/2' in length and are of excellent weight.All contain the initials "MW" in old English script. They are very well hallmarked with the following: MSB & Co.(indicating a date of c.1875), lion,and "H" (for Halifax).. They are in excellent condition with no damage of any kind.
