Up for auction is a BING AND GRONDAHL Porcelain Boy and Dog Figurine. This beautiful porcelain sculpture by Bing and Grondahl is hand painted and numbered. Bing & Grondahl (B&G) was founded in 1853 and existed until 1987, when Royal Copenhagen merged with Bing and Grondahl. Some of the designs were continued as Royal Copenhagen (RC #). B & G, Bing & Grondahl refer to the founders: Fred. Vilh. Grøndahl (1819-1856), technical director; the brothers M.H. Bing (1819 - 1883) and J.H. Bing (1811 -1896) as economical directors. The three tower in the hallmark comes from the City Coat of Arms of Copenhagen. This measures 4 3/4" in height. See the second picture for the factory mark on the base. T is a logo of three towers. B&G Kjobenhavn DENMARK B&G 2334 S. This figurine is in wonderful condition. T are no chips or cracks and the colors are vibrant. Comes from a smoke-free home.
