You are bidding on a Nutcracker Barstool, fashioned as a Toy Soldier, made and purchased in Germany. This unique barstoolstands 32âe tall, has a comfortable 12" seat and a sturdy solid wood base that is 2-3/8" thick and 12" square with a strong metal foot rest securely anchored in the stained wood. T is a stamp on the bottom of the base that bears the name Velkmar Matthes along with a registered number. Kept in a non-smoking environment , it is in excellent condition even though it was used on occasion (we always brought him out for show during December). If you are a collector, you are familiar with the detail and craftsmanship of German Nutcracker artisans. This Soldier brightens any bar or kitchen counter and is quite the center of attention especially since he really can crack any size pecan, walnut, almond or even brazilian nuts! He is hand-painted with bright red, solid black and trimmed with white and gold painted details. His soft white beard is real animal fur (not sure what kind). His hat (or your seat) is firmly cushioned and covered with faux black fur.
