Classified as an ordinary chrondite type L4-6. T is a lot of variety to the internal structure of these meteorites, so much that t was much disagreement as to their classification. 869s are one of the best looking of the North West African stony meteorites when they are cut and polished. The matrix varies from rich reddish brown materials to lovely dark burnt sienna colors. Embedded in the matrix are lots of interesting chondrules and inclusions that give the interior stone a wide range of colors and shapes. Lots of neat looking shiny, metallic iron/nickel inclusions. read more
