NYC NEW YORK CENTRAL 20 th C LIMITED 15-CAR SET (Walthers – MINT). Among the very best “name” passenger trains was the New YorkCentral’s 20 th Century Limited , Trains 25/26, the epitome of grace, speed, and luxury. These fifteen cars offer a chance to duplicate accurately the fullest customary consist of the post-war Century. In 2009 Walthers issued a nine-car set. These 15 cars I am selling were ordered individually, however, based on research in the Official Guide, in New York Central period timetables, and in consist lists -- so that a “Century” could be assembled that would be prototypically accurate in both consist and length. And do the math. These cars are being offered here now in MINT condition at just $25 per car. You may never again come up against the full 15-car consist together at such a great price.The fifteen cars here are MINT. They are still in their factory protective wrap. The packaging has never been opened, which makes photographing them a bit problematic as even a polarizing filter cannot eliminate the multiple sources of glare and I refuse to tinker with the packaging and the interior wrappers. The cars have their New York Central identity and generic name like “ Pullman ” painted on the cars but decals are provided for individual choice of car names and numbers.
