DISCONTINUED RETIRED Hard-TO-Find TROLL!!! You are bidding on a 9" Troll numbered 116 (old number) . The new number is 141 from NyForm purchased in the very early days of Epcot from the Norway pavilion. Pictures are of my actual troll and not stock pictures. Figure comes with original tag intact and Disney price tag on bottom. My Trolls were purchased and sat for 30 years in a showcase cabinet with no handling over the years. All original sticks, hair, etc. This is one of my last trolls that I hoped to keep but space does not permit. Doesn't everyone have a grandpa who looks like this character? He is happy, old, wrinkly, and possesses LOTS of personality! He is walking with vengence and carries a stick! I ship within 48 hours of receiving payment. These brand of Trolls are all Original Norwegian design since 1964. They are Handmade unbreakable trolls made of natural materials. Over the years, they have become Valuable international collector's items. More about trolls: There are probably several reasons why people collect Ny Form trolls. Many people collect them because they simply like the look of the trolls. Some people collect the trolls because they are related to Norway and Norwegian culture. Others again collect the trolls because (it is said that) they believe trolls bring good luck (the more trolls the more good luck) . Important reasons why the Ny Form trolls have become collectibles are due to their uniqueness in look and shape. Our trolls are created using a blend of natural materials. The main ingredients originate from a certain type of tree and elements from the earth. All are cast and decorated entirely by hand. The Ny Form Trolls have been on the market for as long as 40 years and they are distributed globally through a hand picked network of distributors. The trolls have never been marketed as a mass product that you can find everywhere, which is probably a main reason for their vitality in the market. When new trolls have been added to the Ny Form troll family, some trolls have also been discontinued to avoid that the product line has become too large to handle in the production. When the availability of these trolls has decreased, the collector’s interest for them has increased. Far to the North, where the winter storms from the Arctic Ocean lash the unsheltered coasts, lies a long and narrow country. As the climate slowly changed and the glacier receded northwards, people who lived south of the glacier followed it. They took the country for their own and called it Norway. The people were called Norwegians. They saw that the country was very beautiful and thought that they were the first inhabitants, but it was not long before they discovered that the country was already occupied by a lot of strange creatures who lived in the most peculiar places. In the mountains, of which there were many, lived the trolls. The chief of them all was Dovregubben. Some of the trolls were extremely large, while others could be really small, and they were all very old. They were only to be seen at night, or at dusk, because such creatures of course did not tolerate the light of day. If they did not get into the mountains before the sun shone they cracked or turned to stone. The trolls were like people, but had only four fingers on each hand and four toes on each foot. Otherwise they all had long noses (troll wives often used their noses to stir the cooking pot when they made soup or porridge), they were shaggy and rough-haired, and every one of them had a tail which resembled a cow's rump. Even though they were frightening, they were often good-natured and gullible, and sometimes smart farm boys could fool them.
