Offered is a superb handpainted Nymphenburg Dominikus Auliczek pearl soup tureen with lid c.1780. The painted decoration consists of small oval and round landscapes surrounded by ribbons and the edges molded with "pearls" hence the name. The bottom of the tureen is impressed with the Nymphenburg shield as well as a very old label from Wm. H. Plummer & Co. New York antiques department stating it is Nymphenburg c.1780. The craftsmanship and detail are museum quality. It is in very good condition with a minor tight hairline in the lid as shown in the photos above. This however does not impact the overall presentation in the least and it's beauty is undiminished. It measures approx. 9" tall to the top of the lid finial and 13" wide from handle to handle. The buyer pays S/H/I. Contact in 2 days and payment in 3 days required.
