Real Traditional Artifacts & One off pieces, Available here! RRP Over USD 200 ! This is hand crafted by "Brian Piper" an 81 year old amateur rockhound club member. Engraved by Shane McIntosh This is a simple Toki (Adze) but fabulous work of traditional art . Toki is a Maori implement used for carving/cutting (wood) and later became a most revered tool. This is a smaller version of the same. This is a rather exceptional one off great but simple art piece made from beautiful natural medium green Kawakawa pounamu, which makes it stand out from the mass produced artificial looking objects, exuding understated elegance. This is a simple Toki but the use of indigenous design including the full bodied solid appearance enhances and classifies this as unique and desirable. A Solid table or display piece !
