The auction is for a Dome Shaped Toast / Cake/ soup/ Oatmeal / Egg Cover – dome style cover is flattened on the top, stands 2 ¼” tall, measures 6: across the bottom, and has a ¾” vent or steam hole at the top. The underside of the cover is marked with: 1827 1927, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, Scammell's Lamberton China, Design Patented. The design on this beautiful Dome Cover features The Thomas Viaduct 1835 at the top center of the dish. Going around the bottom edge of the cover and starting below the Viaduct wording is the following design: Laid July 4, 1828, Horse Drawn Car 1830, The “Tom Thumb” 1830, The “Atlantic” 1832, The “Philip E.
