Turn of the Century 48" Antique Golden Oak Claw Foot Round Dining Table & Five Lion's Head / Claw Foot Oak Hand Carved Chairs

This is a beautiful antique golden oak dining table, late 1800's, 48" diameter x 30 inches tall, four (4) pedestal leg configuration with large hand carved claw feet on each leg. Great shape, heavy, no leaves. This is an extremely attractive and room-ready table from the 19th century! It is 48" round with a 3- 3/4" wide apron. The color is a rich golden oak with an exceptionally nice & smooth satin finish. It has been refinished, but not recently. It is quarter sawn oak with a hand carved pedestal and simple but large three toe claw feet. The table can expand with leaves but we have no leaves. The table is 30" tall with casters on the feet. It is a very nice and simple, yet elegant, table. Has a beautiful solid oak base and the legs are great. Each lion's claw is appx. 5 inches wide. Top is an oak veneer.

Five oak back chairs with black patent leather coverings. The top of the chairs include beautiful hand-carved "lion's head" pattern and claws feet.

This item is listed as local pick up only. However, I do have experience with truck lines and we could palletize and ship the table and chairs anyw around the county. We would have to determine the actual cost if you win the bid. BUT, I did want you to know that if you want this set, don't let the shipping issue stop you. We'll work that out!

Some info on me-

I need to tell you that I am a novice when it comes to antiques! It's way above my "pay grade"...LOL. I have had to learn as I go with the items I've been selling, and want to be as truthful and honest as I can with each item I put on eBay. I hope the photographs and info I do know tells the story!

I am selling items that belonged to my Mother and Dad who were married for 62 years. My Mother passed away a few years ago and my Dad is now 88 years old and is unable to live alone anymore. He has a house full of antiques that my Mother (God rest her soul) purchased though their 62 years of marriage. My mother loved antiques and accumulated some wonderful pieces. This dining room table and chairs are one of them. So, I am doing my best to give you what I know and don't know about these pieces, and hopefully some of you can email me with more helpful information- which I will add to the description as things come up.
