Here you are bidding on an old Oak Singer Sewing Machine attachments box full of parts. This is the ever popular roll out puzzle box design and when closed it measures approx. 3 ½” by 3 ½” and about 6 ½” long. The ends are dovetailed and the hardware is brass. The top is marked: Patented 1889 February 19 The oak box is in Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. There is wear to the finish, as can be expected at this age, but it has a beautiful even patina. The latch still works well. Inside is lined with dark purple velvet and looks to have all its parts if not more than original…including the 5 spindles still attached to their housing in the corner. I don’t think I have ever seen one of these with them still present! Notice there are even 2 sewing machine needles inside. A great box and the most complete I have come across.
