These Oakleaves and Swords are not an original. Awarded item, they. Are hallmarked "800" on the reverse and are of good quality. I have had them in my possession since 1975 when they were given to me by a Second World War veteran who told me that he had obtained them in Normandy in 1944. There is no attempt to portray them as anything they are not. At best they are of wartime manufacture and could have been worn in lieu of the issued set.I've just revised this listing with some better quality photographs. It's advertised elsewhere also so if no interest or offers here will be sold on 5th September.Posted with eBay Mobile
