The Observers Book is a very Collectable item.The birds book being the first to be produced in 1937.It describes 226 species and has 200 colour and black and white illustrations.It is in very good condition.It comes with a simile dust jacket, Otherwise the starting price would be higher.Posted with eBay Mobile update , the dust jacket is a copy of a later edition of Observers Book of Birds, it gives the impression of what the original one looked like, on the reverse side the jacket lists books in the observers series Next Update The date 1937 This is given on the page facing the Preface. There are no other dates shown. It has no Print Codes nor ISBN , Congress Number etc ////the preface itself has no indication f date, Hence I am sure it is as it says 1937 - the first year Observers Books printed its series of books. The fascimile dustcover is looking like a copy of the first edition or close to it (as it mentions Book of Flowers) please see photos Check out my other items !
