Offered is a vintage obsolete RFD post office carrier badge that measures just a bit over 2" long from top to bottom by 2" wide from side to side at its largest point by a quarter inch thick from front to back including its pin fastening mechanism. The piece is in great condition...I see normal and expected wear from use on the badge...One edge shows some minor plate wear that reminds me of wear often seen on silverplate items (pic. # 8)...This is very minor...I also note some losses on the black lettering section...Especially on the number "10" on the middle of the front of the badge...The back of the piece shows some tarnish and discolorations...I have not cleaned the piece at all ... It appears in its original as found state...Otherwise, I see no additional wear, losses, stains, dents, dings, discolorations, signs of excessive use or abuse or damages of any kind on the badge. I see that the piece is shaped like a traditional police style badge and reads "R.F.D. Carrier--10--Columbia, Tenn." on its front. I also see that one back corner of the badge is signed by its maker--"G.C. Dury & Co--Nashville" (pic. # 7). No Reserve. Please don't hesitate to E-Mail with any questions. As always, Paypal is the prefered method of payment for this and for all my other E-Bay items, however, other methods are accepted as wel. Please E-Mail for read more
