You are bidding on a very nice occupational shaving mug.On the front it says C.C. Slosson on the top like the owners name and below that it says Livery Stabel with some horses and stuff I guess was there profession back then.The mug has gold around the the top and bottom and gold where you pick up the mug looks like it was painted on.on the bottom of the mug it has some writing in gold but iam not sure what it says. maybe No 1 something and after that I think it says decoration maybe it was who painted it.It has a dot on both sides where you pick up the mug also some of the gold color is missing on thr top where your thumb would be.There are no cracks or chips its in very nice shape.Also on the bottom not painted but pressed in the mug it has a number 76 not sure if meaning 1876 or what. I was told by several collectors it was a original shaving mug from a long time ago.Good Luck Bidding.
