In 1910, the company perfected a technique for the production of high-quality dinnerware and introduced streamlined production. During the 1920's, the Larkin Company of Buffalo New York, was a prime distributor of Noritake China. The factory was heavily damaged during World War II, and production was reduced the Japanese economy was devastated when the War ended. To secure necessary hard currency the Japanese pottery industry produced thousand of figurines and other knickknacks for export. Between 1946-1948 The company sold their china under the "Rose China " Mark, since the quality of production did not match the earlier Noritake China.Expansion in the 1948 brought about the resumption of quality production and the use of the Noritake name once again.
