Ocean liners - New York City - 1958 / 1959 / 1965Photos on CD 's a trip back in time to when ocean liners could be seen at their piers on the Hudson River on a regular basis. This set of photos, taken in 1958, 1959 and 1965, includes a trip around Manhattan on the Circle Line, with views of several ships, as well as stops at the piers for a closer look. The ships include the S.S. United States, Queen Elizabeth, Bremen, Rotterdam and Constitution. It's hard to believe that all of these great ships were t on the same day, especially given how few ships still come to New York at all. T are also views of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Ellis Island and city landmarks ashore such as Times Square, the Empire State Building, Roseland, Yankee Stadium and Rockefeller Center. Great views of old cars, movie marquees and more! The original slides have been professionally scanned at 4000 DPI and have been color corrected, with dust and scratches removed. T are 85 pictures for a total of 357 MB on one CD. I had previously been selling an older edition of this CD with the slides scanned at 2900 DPI. This edition features all new scans at 4000 DPI, with improved color correction.
