ITEM: You are bidding on an original, vintage October 1947 (Volume 4, Number 2) edition of Titter Magazine; the risque and titillating men's magazine. This is a wonderful example of one of the precursors to the Playboy era in American magazines, when pin up photography featuring fun and flirty content proliferated. We have come into a number of these fine original magazines in wonderful condition, all dating from the era of Bettie Page and Irving Klaw brought a resurgence of interest in striptease and fetishes, and these magazines explored everything from boots and corsets to spanking and wrestling with a lighthearted attitude in the sexually-buttoned-down post-World War II/Cold War era. These magazines created mores and fashions that have lasted generations, especially through the iconic style of Bettie Page and her fellow pin up models. A great fun & flirty magazine.
