Complete listing of the staff and faculty of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York for the academic year ending June, 1890. Colonel John M. Wilson was Superintendent and Lieutenant Colonel Hamilton S. Hawkins was Commandant of Cadets. Also a complete listing of the Cadets, arranged in Order of Merit in their Respective Classes. The data include the Order of Merit of each cadet in all four classes in each subject and the number of demerits each has received. It includes a list of the Corps Organization (Captains, Lieutenants, 1st Sergeants, Sergeants, and Corporals for each of the four companies)[F. C. Marshall, who commanded a Brigade in WWI and died in an airplane accident a few years later, was the First Captain]. It includes a list of the Course of Study of each class with text books assigned. Finally it contains (7 pages of) Information Relative to the Appointment and Admission of Cadets to the United States Military Academy. Of the 54 members of the Class of 1890, at least 27 served as a General Officer during their career.
