This is the The Official Bicentennial Day Commemorative in Sterling Silver issued by the Franklin Mint in 1976. Two examples for one money. Each coin is about the size of a silver U.S. Half Dollar (32 mm, about one-half ounce of metal), and marked 'STERLING' on the edge. The coins are mint, in their original unopened shrink wrapped card holder (removable from presentation folder), so I am unable to get an exact weight. I have left them sealed for the collector. Included in each is a commemorative booklet with many pages of reproduction signatures. One of the booklets shows more yellowing toward the page margins as shown in photos. Both Presentation Cases are in very good condition. Each round-windowed coin envelope which the sealed coin cards slide in and out of has a small tear in the upper left corner, owing to the design of the packaging. I am estimating close to one troy ounce of silver in the two medals together. Shipping to U.S destinations only. DELIVERY NOTICE: Prompt payment within 24 hours of close of auction will see the purchase shipped Monday, April 18. Otherwise shipment will not be made until the following Monday, one week later owing to vacation plans.
