This 20 card set was produced in 1993 by MAXX and made available through Texaco gas stations in the southeastern region of the country only. They were distributed in 4 card packs and could be purchased for .$0.99. 5,000 of these cards were autographed by Davey Allison (card AU1) and randomly inserted into packs. The signed cards are different from their base card counterparts by the placement of Daveys printed name on the card fronts. It is printed in a different location then on the unsigned version, typically much lower on the card front. As reported by Beckett Racing Magazine many of these cards were never introduced into the mainstream market for hobby collectors due to the way the cards were distributed. Very few of these cards have actually surfaced and as far as the other autographed cards, they probably will never surface. So is your chance to get one of the only few RARE AUTHENTIC AUTOGRAPH CARDS from one of NASCARS true legends Davey Allison. The auction will include both cards so that you can show how the cards are different from one another. The Beckett book value for this card is $150.00.
