Amish Patchwork Quilt Wall Hanging Hand Quilted - Hand Stitching Lone Star with Spring Tulips Gently Used Condition 38" x 38" Beautiful Amish Quilt Design is an awesome variation of the classic Lone Star with flowers, stems, and leaves that are pieced and not appliqued. The quilted wall hanging has nice even stitches and is done in the traditional log cabin style of piecing on the star design. The Lone Star is surrounded by spring flowers (Tulips) with a beautiful choice of floral fabrics. The navy blue and deep wine red colors give it a nice visual contrast. Wall hanging has a panel or rod pocket on the back that was top stitched by hand onto the quilt back. There is about a 3" section in the middle (last photo in ivory) of the pocket on the back where the stitching is starting to come loose, but that is the only flaw that I noticed on this stunning quilt. When displayed the rod pocket does not show. The backing and background color is a soft ivory or off-white color. Quilt has not ever been washed and is now almost 25 years old. I purchased this quilt in about 1988 (probably in Holmes county, Ohio) while living in Stow, Ohio near Akron. It is in Very Good to Excellent condition with no stains or tears!
