A pleasing oil painting of boats on the French coast, probably off Brittany, by the English artist Clive John.
With its beautifully gilded and customized floreate frame (which would cost at least $600 to have made up today) it measures 27.5 inches wide by 24 inches high. The actual painting measures 13" high by 17" wide.
