Oil painting by Prince Andrew Alexandrovich of Russia signed anddated 1969 of a semi-nude female holding a staff. The overall dimensions including the frame are 440mm x 330mm. This painting is framed and backed with hanging points fitted, the gold and white frame is in good condition but both it and the canvas itself would benefit from a good clean. This painting is verified as being part of Prince Andrew's personal work and bears the Russian Royal family signature aside the date. A number of paintings from Prince Andrew's collection was sold during the 1960's through a private gallery on Royal Deeside with many reaching their reserve price of £100, which at the time was a sizable amount of money. This is therefore a rare opportunity to obtain a genuine part of Romanoff family history. Prince Andrew was the nephew of Tzar Nicholas II of Russia and the father of Princess Olga Romanoff who is now selling a number of family items through this Ebay account.
