Up for bid are three Hughes Tool belt buckles. All three different on the front but the bio on the back is the same. The Super Bowl XVI belt buckle is in mint condition. This was given to the executives for the bowl game. The background in the front is a little darker then the other two. The Hughes belt buckle is in like new condition probably never used. The unmarked belt buckle on the front has some scratches on the top and bottom. Actually I am throwing this belt buckle in at no charge to make it a complete set. The bio on the back reads: APRIL 15, 1922 HOBSON, BLACKSTONE AND THEIR CREW DRILLED THE MEXIA, TEXAS FIELD WITH THE 13 3/4" HUGHES SIMPLES BIT, ON HUMPHRIES' ROGERS NO.3 ONE SET OF CONES DRILLED 146' OF SURFACE ROCK IN TWO DAYS. TWO MORE SETS OF CONES DRILLED 180' ON HUMPHRIES' THOMAS NO.3 IN JUST THREE DAYS. HUGHES BUILT THE BITS NEEDED FOR TOUGH DRILLING PROBLEMS IN 1922. WE'RE STILL DOING IT TODAY. ASI 3693 Shipping USA only and postage will be calculated based on the buyers zipcode. Insurance is optional and payment is due within seven days of the bid closing. Thanks for looking.
