This Toikka bird is no longer available through retail outlets and has been sold out. It was designed in honor of the famous New York City, Central Park, red tailed hawk born in 1990 of the same name. The Pale Male edition was made for the Corning Museum of Glass in 2007. The glassblower's skill is on stunning display with this perfect example and is a tribute to the artists of Nuutajarvi. It includes the original Iittala box, wrapping tissue, booklet, and neck tag. The pictures reveal the actual bird for sale, removed from it's box for the first time to be photgraphed for this sale. The photos do not do this bird justice. Of the 1000 birds hand blown for this edition, this bird is number 737. Size: approx. 355 x 210 mm and is one of Toikka's larger birds. Beak color: lustre. Body: white with brown. Tail: Orange with red Retail price: $650 USD. Shipping: Double boxed with cushioning. Rates quoted are for the 48 contiguous states, email for other destinations. Shipping includes tracking, delivery confirmation, insurance, and packaging materials. Payment is expected within 2 days of the end of the auction.
