OKLAHOMA TERRITORY RAILROAD BOND GREAT TRAIN VIGNETTE 1905 Fine original $1000 consolidated mortgage five per cent gold bond from the OKLAHOMA CENTRAL RAILWAY COMPANY , December 1, 1905. Very attractive Oklahoma Territory railroad bond with wonderfully-engraved vignette of steam locomotive with water tower and grain elevator in distance. Superb engraving and printing by the Western Bank Note and Engraving Company. Bond measures 14 1/2" X 10 " and includes 56 original coupons still attached. Each coupon had small vignette of young woman with a flower garland in her hair. In near-mint condition. No holes or cancellation marks of any kind. The OKLAHOMA CENTRAL RAILWAY COMPANY was organized in 1905 and began operations in 1906 in the Oklahoma Territory . In 1914 its assets were bought by the ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY . Fine seldom seen Oklahoma Terriotry railroad bond. Shipping charge includes insurance.
